We took our senior dog on her first airplane and this carrier was perfect. We had it out for a few weeks before the trip and she was already used to curling up inside, so on the trip she felt safe and comfortable. The leash that comes with it was far too thick and heavy (would be nice to have an option for a smaller one) so we didn't use that but even now that we are home, she loves to get in the carrier and nap.
Very sturdy, good looking carrier. Fit right under the seat on United which as far as I can tell has one of the tougher policies. My beagle girlie fit right in. Until she earns the right to be a working dog, she’s able to travel and it was so great to be able to bring her along. My one wish would be for a tougher zipper. She bit it and caused a misalignment of the teeth in one spot. Didn’t make a difference and that’s my only issue. Loved it and even got compliments from one or two other dog folks.
First the good: thick fabric, sturdy straps, and very comfortable to carry. I wish though that there was a way to leave one end of the top unzipped for the pup to stick his/her head out of. The way the zipper is situated, it can't be done so the flap has to be either completely closed or completely open. I ended up attaching short leashes to the side D-rings and leaving the flap open for our (pre-vaccinated) walks.
We have a rambunctious frenchie who really beat up his last carrier so we needed something bigger and more rugged. He is 23 lbs and fits perfect. He's able to lay comfortably and it fits the United requirements.
We are going to bring our dog to Europe this summer. I was looking for durable, quality bag. I really like the bag. The only thing I would love to have an extended zipper pocket for more room to the dog. But the quality is excellent so we are happy with our purchase.
This is the most i’ve ever spent on a pet carrier but i wanted to finally invest in something for life. You can see and feel the quality, and the fact it’s travel approved is great. It collapses easily, the straps are comfortable and it’s very sturdy and spacious when open. I actually am using it for my cats. They are 9-13 pounds and fit comfortably in one. If they got along i could def see them fitting in the largest size together though. love these carriers, 10/10
The OUT-OF-OFFICE PET CARRIER PRO EDITION is amazing – durable and so stylish! You should bring back the OUT-AND-ABOUT PET TOTE (BLACK / MAGENTA) and the backpack in the same color. Those are amazing, and I would love to have them to complete my set.
You should bring back the OUT-AND-ABOUT PET TOTE (BLACK / MAGENTA) and the backpack in the same color. Those are amazing, and I would love to have them to complete my set, as I already have the OUT-OF-OFFICE PET CARRIER PRO EDITION, LEADER-OF-THE-PACK **** BAG HOLDER (BLACK / MAGENTA), OUT-OF-OFFICE INSULATED FROZEN FOOD CARRY CASE, kibble storage bag, and collapsible dog bowl.
We have 3 of Roverlunds soft carriers plus wheels! Makes traveling easy especially if you have a layover and time is of the essence to get to another flight!
Unfortunately sizing did not work for my size dog would highly recommend as it was well constructed.
My baby Dex was so comfortable in the carrier. He is 18lb and fits comfortably in the large size carrier. We boarded American Airline B-737 and ERJ-175, and the carrier fits perfect under the seat. The carrier is well made, and sturdy. We love that the holder can be used as leash.
I had a small issue with one of my carriers and they took care of it right away. My pups love their Roverlund carriers. I will be a loyal customer always.
I used the large carrier for my 13lb cat when I was driving across country. We had several nights of hotel stops and it was so convenient to plop her on my suitcase and be able to roll her in with me. I went with the large so she’d have space to stretch out while on the road (anywhere from 7-12 hours a day). She loved it. She got in easily without a fuss, and seemed less stressed than on her adventures in traditional hard sided carriers.
Flew with my 23lbs fur baby for the first time on southwest and the wheel base was a life saver! I knew I was not going to be able to carry him all throughout the airport and the wheel base made the trek so much easier! I only gave it 4 stars because it can be a bit difficult to control the movement. I ended up having to roll it by the handles but that was a little uncomfortable but I made it work. I also was able to consolidate my carryons into one by putting my backpack in the wheelbase which was also helpful! You need this!
Bought this for my 30 lb corgi. So far it works. We haven’t flown with it yet. Will get back with news in February. One thing I do wish is that the side mesh could extend like some of the off brands do.
Very cute and cozy, and our dog loves it! He’s a 15-pound Coton and measured between a Medium and Large. I ordered Large and I’m so glad I did—the smaller size wouldn’t have fit him at all. But this one is perfect. Highly recommend!
This carrier is well worth the price - it’s extremely high quality. Many of the other brands are flimsy and may be a safety hazard if you have a pet that is 15+ lbs. I flew Southwest from Kansas City to California with my 23-lb Golden Cavalier in a size large. She did great! I did some initial training with her and gave her treats every time she got in it. Now when I bring it out, she jumps right in. I recommend choosing a window seat on the airplane as there is more room under the seat than in an aisle seat. 10/10!
Hands down the most comfortable well built and designed pet backpack. I recently purchased the airline carrier and the backpack. Both are amazing. Just had our first five hour flight with carrier. We also did a 20 mile hike through Yosemite with the pet backpack carrier highly recommend.
This is the nicest dog carrier I have ever seen. Extremely solid and sturdy, and it looks super cute. Great design. Worth the higher price.
I have had the first carrier and loved it. I also love the new carrier I just got because you can strap it to suitcase to roll pet through airport. The carrier fits snug on airplanes but cozy for my pup.
We own the large and the small pet carrier for our small (but tall) pup. We have flown a lot with her but have only ever used the small one, as we don’t know if airlines would accept the large. The small carrier has been used many times on Breeze Airways, United, Southwest, and Jet Blue. Highly recommend.
Well made carrier. Robust stitching, sturdy interior, great handles. Excellent color palette. We wish out dog could turn around in it!
