This carrier is well worth the price - it’s extremely high quality. Many of the other brands are flimsy and may be a safety hazard if you have a pet that is 15+ lbs. I flew Southwest from Kansas City to California with my 23-lb Golden Cavalier in a size large. She did great! I did some initial training with her and gave her treats every time she got in it. Now when I bring it out, she jumps right in. I recommend choosing a window seat on the airplane as there is more room under the seat than in an aisle seat. 10/10!
Hands down the most comfortable well built and designed pet backpack. I recently purchased the airline carrier and the backpack. Both are amazing. Just had our first five hour flight with carrier. We also did a 20 mile hike through Yosemite with the pet backpack carrier highly recommend.
This is the nicest dog carrier I have ever seen. Extremely solid and sturdy, and it looks super cute. Great design. Worth the higher price.
I have had the first carrier and loved it. I also love the new carrier I just got because you can strap it to suitcase to roll pet through airport. The carrier fits snug on airplanes but cozy for my pup.
We own the large and the small pet carrier for our small (but tall) pup. We have flown a lot with her but have only ever used the small one, as we don’t know if airlines would accept the large. The small carrier has been used many times on Breeze Airways, United, Southwest, and Jet Blue. Highly recommend.
Well made carrier. Robust stitching, sturdy interior, great handles. Excellent color palette. We wish out dog could turn around in it!
My french bulldogs travel so comfortably. I have a 35 pound frenchie and he travels in the large and is able to turn around on his own and I’m able to use all 3 straps without problem. This is my 3rd Roverlund and i will never use anything else.
Our 5 year old 22# Jack Russell had never been in a crate before, not traveled on a plane. We are now a 1 dog family and wanted to travel with him. We chose Roverlund based on design and reviews, and quite pleased we did. Granted he is not thrilled with being in a smaller space as he’s footloose and fancy free, but we worked with him the week prior and we were able to get him all the way in with coaxing and treats, and a little pushing, LOL. He traveled quite well, and fit under the seat on Delta…barely. Being he’s 22#, we also got the Ready to Roll base, for rolling through the airports. That helped a lot. Trying to figure out the best way to roll it as it tends to wonder some side to side in transit, which he’s not thrilled with. Otherwise, highly recommend this combo.
It works well for water. I haven’t used it to feed and I don’t feed any kibble or any marketed dog food.
Bought this for my cat who doesn’t like to be closed in, or taken outside the house. We needed to take her to the vet. The bag worked well, easy to get her in and she could peek out as we walked over.
My other cat jumped in willingly because she loves to leave the house! I’d recommend a harness attached to the interior lead for an enthusiastic cat because the bag is easy for cats to get out of.
We are loving both of our out-of-office pet carriers! We ordered size large - we have 6 French bulldogs - they fit below the seat on our preferred airline, JetBlue. We may need to get a matching suitcase in the future for when mom travels alone to wheel us around like the royalty we are!!!
I purchased this carrier and the matching tote before even bringing my Cavalier puppy home. He’s almost 3 now and both items are still in rotation! I flew w him on Delta & he slept comfortably the entire flight. Bailey is 22-23 lbs and uses the large carrier.
I have 3 of these. Well made and seems sturdy and secure! I recommend these very much but yes they are expensive but my babies are worth it!
I love the carrier and the base is convenient. If you watch the videos and read how to attach the strap to pull the base it works perfect. I traveled and did not know how to use all of the straps to make my trip better. It did take some getting used to. Everyone at the airport was in awe of it. I also learned how to attach and undo the bungees at the ends to make that easier to get the base in the overhead bin. My carry one fit right inside which also was a plus.
This pet carrier is not only beautiful but very functional and made extremely well.
Highly recommend!!!
Great quality, cute colors, but I wish the large was 1 inch longer like the Sherpas. It will still fit under the seat with a bit more length.
First let me begin with the great customer service from this company. I had ordered a large bag but somehow ended up ordering the small cart. I called past my 30 days policy, but they did a one time courtesy exchange.
I think what make this addition to bad a bit awkward is the bungee that you have to attach to the bag. I keep misplacing them. Maybe a better design for attachment and detaching is something that should be considered.
We bought the Roverlund Crate to bring home a new puppy.
It is super cute and comfy. I am sure the puppy will enjoy it.
Grady is a picky 20 lb Frenchie that thinks he needs to go EVERYWHERE we go, so it's important that he rides in style! He absolutely loves this carrier and so do we! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is it would be perfect if it had a firm handle to better maneuver! Atlanta airport is our home airport and it's crazy busy! While the rope leash/handle is very well made, it's difficult to maneuver in a crowd. This thing glides with ease on the skater wheels. Don't waste money like we did trying countless other carriers that will end up tearing up in the long run. This is worth the investment.
